Short Stories: January 2011

Dear Chetanya, Neetu and Avi,

Well what can I say..I can say thanks a countless times and would still fall short to thank you guys....

I clearly don't remember my first day at school....(well my mum tells me that I ran away from school and reached home :) ) ....but today's day at school is something I would never never never forget...

And I should say, it is one of the best international schools...with the best Head master, head miss and best youngest student :)

No studying :) No homework :) only eating, playing with colors, playing games and freaking out.....well that is what I call school and every kid should go to such school :)

Neetu, the tamil sapad is one of the best meal i have had in almost a 15 months now...you pulled of one of the most most impossible tasks of feeding dozen plus Indian food starved people...it was one of the most wonderful meal..the vada was amazing (crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside), the carrot purial was melting in mouth, the avial was perfect beyond imagination, rice/sambar with ghee was too perfect and most deliciously/tastily just galloped into stomach, rasam did the wonders....well i had no space for payasam..but did i stop there :) Payasam made its way into the stomach and all food which i was already stuffed with, made way for the payasam as if king is passing through a crowded street and crowd cleared the path for the king (payasam) :)

The badge you guys devised was one of the most innovative :) hats off to such a creative idea, wish every school follows such creativity :)

Finally the Games were like icing up icing on the cake.....

Clearly this is the best best First day at school....

Lastly and not the least, Clearly the BEST STUDENT AWARD deservedly went to the unconquered, the undefeated champion of the world, the greatest and cutest of all Kids in the world.. Mr AVIDANT JAIN

Dedicating this peom, well not exactly a poem  but few rhyming lines to you guys...

Poem dedicated to Chetanya, Neetu and Avidant

“Never wanted to go school
Did not want to become a fool
Hated homework from the school
Wanted life to be wonderful
Heard life is boring in the school
And why spoil by going to school

Finally came my first day at school :(
I was admitted in the Maurice international school
Head miss was wonderful
Welcoming us at the school

LKG was my class
Saw two little kids are already in the class (FYI Readers: Mahesh/Amit were already in the class)
Head miss gave us rasna in the glass
Saw another small kid sleeping in the class (FYI Readers: Avidant was sleeping)
I was delighted to see no board in the class (FYI Readers:Head miss told they don't have any boards)

A photographer was taking photos from everywhere
Telling us say cheese/paneer and posing here and there
I smiled happily, thinking i get cheese/paneer from somewhere

Head miss told us we will play with water color
And painted our hands with water color
I smiled with joy seeing my hand on color
Got our badges on the back which was hand color
Red, blue, green and yellow was the color
Soon school started with the lunch hour :)

Head miss asked us to sit on the floor
Banana leaf in front us on the floor

Head miss and head master filled the leaf
Seeing food on the banana leaf
Our hungry stomachs churned with relief
Our eyes popped when vada came to the leaf

Carrot purial was muchy going in the mouth
And Avial melted in the mouth

When served with Rice, Sambar and ghee
The Food galloped inside with glee

Lastly came the Payasam like a king
All the food made way for the king

I loved my school
It was my best first day at school
Will never miss the school
Otherwise I would be a fool
Life is so wonderful in the school :)
Our head miss and head are wonderful
And avidant is best kid of the school
